The installation of inserts after moulding, eliminates the risk of 'moulding in'
i.e.
- Damage to Mould Tools
- Longer moulding cycles
- High scrap rates
These problems can be eradicated by using standard ranges of metal threaded inserts or male inserts.
There are three types of insertion methods:
- Cold insertion
- Hot insertion
- Ultrasonic insertion
